Farm & Market Garden Tour – The Bullaun Ark

We had the pleasure of welcoming Garden for Life to the Bullaun Ark, our small-scale farm and market garden here in County Galway. They spent the day exploring what we do and even made a fantastic video tour to showcase the farm.

At the Bullaun Ark, everything is done by hand using regenerative agricultural methods. We combine techniques like no-dig gardening, companion planting, crop rotation, Korean natural farming, and square-foot gardening to grow food sustainably and holistically. We never use chemical fertilizers, weed killers, or pesticides – instead, we focus on working with nature to create healthy, thriving crops.

It was a joy to share some of the unique and often forgotten crops we specialize in, from ancient vegetables to exotic leaves and edible flowers. We’re passionate about bringing these rare flavors back to life and making them accessible again.

We also had a great time swapping plants, sharing knowledge, and connecting over sustainable gardening methods. The Garden for Life team was full of enthusiasm and curiosity, and it was inspiring to see them document the ideas and practices we’ve put into action.

If you’d like to check out their video and learn more about the farm, keep an eye on their page for updates. And if you’re based near Loughrea in County Galway, don’t forget to visit our Facebook page and message us to sign up for one of our nutritious, seasonal veg boxes. We’re grateful to have had Garden for Life visit and look forward to sharing more about our journey with you!
